Bowers Beach Sea Glass Hunting Along the Calm Delaware Bay

Bowers Beach in Kent County (not to be confused with South Bowers Beach), is a small town where the St. Jones and the Murderkill Rivers lead into the Delaware Bay. Sadly, on the day we visited Bowers Beach, we didn't find any sea glass.

  • Large parking lot.
  • Carry-in / Carry-out trash policy.
  • Bring bug spray in the warmer months.
  • Dogs must be leashed.
  • Boat launch.
  • Tour Bowers Maritime Museum.
  • J.P.'s Wharf Restaurant overlooking the Bay.

Getting to Bowers Beach

Bowers Beach is approximately 15 minutes from Dover Air Force Base and 30 minutes away from South Bowers Beach.
